Blueberry Cake with Hard Sauce

Ingredients

1 Cup sugar

1 Cup milk

2 1/2 Cups sifted flour

2 Eggs

1 Teaspoon baking soda

1 Teaspoon salt

2 Teaspoons cream of tartar

2 Tablespoons melted butter

1/2 Teaspoon vanilla

1 Pint blueberries

 

Hard Sauce

1/2 Cup butter

1 1/2 Cups powder sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350˚F.

2. Lightly coat No. 10 skillet with butter

3. In a large mixing bowl combine ingredients

4. Mix very little until ingredients are combined

5. Bake 40 minutes

6. While cake is baking mix hard sauce ingredients in stand mixer.  

7.  Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature for 5 minutes then place spread hard sauce over the top
